Mentoring in 3 steps
Create your profile
Create a profile that’s uniquely you. Whether you’re a Varsity athlete, or a passionate fashion designer (or both!), we want our students to be able to find mentors they relate to, and develop meaningful relationships along the way as they plan their path forward.
Don’t forget to share your insights! Whether that’s what college you decided on, or why you chose it, your experiences matter.
Mentor On Your Terms
Squired’s built in scheduling system puts you in control of your time. When a student wants to set up a call, they request a time slot from your calendar. Once they’ve requested a time, the appointment is only set if you approve it.
Your life is busy, and schedules change with school, work and other commitments. Squired lets you update your availability to fit your life, and integrates with Google Calendar to avoid scheduling conflicts and track your bookings. Once you’re booked, Squired notifies you and the student and creates a video chat room for you and the student to talk, share documents and collaborate.
Your time is valuable, and Squired lets you earn money for your time and expertise on the college application process. With Squired, you earn $25 an hour while focusing on what you do best: helping students. Students interested in your help can set up calls that fit with your schedule, paying on an hourly basis.
Squired guides students through all aspects of their college application journey. As a Mentor, you can earn money by helping students with school selection, essays, interviews and general advice from your first hand experience.
Give feedback on students' essays and help them craft a compelling story that highlights their strengths, passions and experiences.
Help students feel comfortable making their stories and strengths shine in an interview setting.
Guide students through the college application process. From selecting schools and majors to crafting a compelling story, this is your chance to share first hand experience.
